We're "Expecting!"

This year we have an extra special reason to be thankful!

On Sunday, November 12th, we received a very happy phone call from our adoption case worker that an expectant mother wanted to talk with us. The very next day our case worker called us back and shared the wonderful news that this expectant mother officially wants to move forward with us. Her sweet baby is due in March, and we cannot begin to describe how delighted we are!
What all of this means is, we are moving forward with the hopeful intention to adopt this baby in March! There is still the possibility that she could change her mind and choose to parent, but at this point we are choosing to believe that we are "expecting!"
Here's how you can be praying:
For our expectant mother - She has shared with us that this decision is extremely difficult for her. However this story unfolds, please pray that she would have peace and comfort and healing.
For our wisdom and grace - Adoption is a paradox...itms tragedy and redemption all wrapped up. Please be in prayer that we would be a light for Christ and His beacons of love to all involved in this adoption journey, and especially with our expectant mother.
For our preparations - We are anxiously preparing for and awaiting the arrival of new baby, but ultimately that baby is not ours until papers are signed after his/her birth. Please pray for our hearts to be just as excited and hopeful as any normal pregnant parents' hearts would be, but pray also that we would remember our true and living hope which lies not in earthly things or relationships but is anchored in Christ.
